This year is a journey, an ongoing adventure, a process. A return to health after surgery, a return to my creative voice. I had a productive year last year all things considered, but felt that feeling of being behind, of trying to catch up… all year. Doing enough to get by, to stay afloat, to make do. This year will be an exploration of the new, new inspirations, new techniques, new territory. But I believe we are the sum of our journey, past experiences impacting the self profoundly. So here are a few photos I have taken on places that have had a profound impact on me… (All pix are untouched, unedited. Hover over picture for information.)

Well…you have to know that I LOVE your word…on my bloggy masthead I have that I am a journaler and a journeyer..so important to frame our life experiences as one intentionally set on growing and expanding and learning and fully breathing in what each year of wisdom brings us. After any surgery, there is a preciousness to life that seems hyper-real…walking around in your neighborhood becomes life affirming and a feeling of getting back to being in the world that comes to mind. Can’t wait to see what your journey brings into your inner life this year…wow, your photos in the raw are beautiful…no need for post processing that I can see..just you and your camera…unedited. Awesome!

What gorgeous photos to represent The Journey. I love that each one is a path to somewhere. Some have a beginning and an end, while others are vague. But it’s the journey that counts, and how we move through it.

I thought you really rocked with your art work in 2012 and I know many great things are in store for you in 2013, especially seeing how you’ve been incorporating new techniques in your work. I always love to see what you have to say. These pictures speak volumes to me. Following a path that you are meant to journey, pointing your toes in the right direction, and also not being afraid of stepping off that beaten path to forge a new one. Oh! We need to sit down with a bottle of wine! I was there for a week, ceramic shrines/hand building with Lana Wilson. 3 years ago? 5 years ago? It truly is life changing!
